Jeffri Lynn Carrington has loved to sing from the time she was a small child. She began studying voice in private lessons when she was 12 years old, and continues to study and expand her instrument in the present. She has dedicated her life to singing with emotion, technique, and soul. Her repertoire and style spans across many genres including classical, folk, jazz, world music and avant garde improvisation.
Over the past 15 years Jeffri Lynn has performed with a wide variety of professional groups including jazz ensembles and choral/chamber music ensembles. Choral singing continues to be one of her greatest joys. She frequently performs as a soloist and works as a studio vocalist/session musician. She is currently focusing on recording an album of original music, and doing remote recordings in nature's cathedrals.
During her 10 years in Southern Oregon Jeffri Lynn regularly performed with several groups:
the Southern Oregon Repertory Singers under the direction of Dr. Paul French, a 17 piece jazz ensemble - Timberline Express Big Band, a folk/pop/jazz duo with guitarist Jeff Stanley - Jeffri & Jeff, an a capella classical/world folk music duo with Zoé LaTerreur - Accapellaré, a 9 piece Zimbabwean style marimba band - Rutendo, and a pop music ensemble playing select covers and original compositions by Adey Bell - Venus Exalted.
